The BCMM is a measuring machine for determining the 6-sigma quality of a production process. The machine is equipped with a 100 x 100 mm XY stage and two aligned white light sensors, which yield surface, thickness, roughness and shape information. A wide range of sensors from Precitec Optronic GmbH is used, varying from 300µm up to 3500µm working range, with 20 nm resolution. This results in highly flexible, yet very precise measurements.The combination of high end components and hardware synchronisation between all axes and sensors delivers submicron accuracy in true 3D.
